Great Turnout for Pinnacle to Pinnacle Hike
Over seventy students and fifteen faculty members took advantage of the sunny Sunday weather yesterday and took part in the 3rd annual Pinnacle to Pinnacle hike. The group made its way up Black Rock before traversing the ridge behind school via the Appalachian Trail to the Hemlock Shelter. From this point the hikers braved snow and thick laurel bushes to make their way off-trail to South Pinnacle.
Hikers snapped photos and made their way back to campus and over to the Clough’s home for home cooked cornbread and chili. It was a great hike and a great turnout as this was the largest group that had participated to date. Special thanks goes to Mr. Dalton for his efforts in organizing the group and to the Clough family for opening up their home to the hungry and trail weary hikers. The chili was great!
